I have to tell you, Turkey is one of my favourite ingredients to cook with. Turkey breast steaks are so tender and protein-rich that it’s always a pleasure to cook them. Because they are almost fat-free, they cook incredibly simple and fast and can be the foundation of many amazing recipes.
Today we’re making one – Roasted Turkey Breast Steaks with Broccoli, Cherry Tomatoes and Garlic. Such a wonderful combination that makes my mouth water every time I think of it. Turkey breast steaks are absolutely phenomenal in that they are extremely rich in protein and because they are skinless, they are very low in fat. This makes Turkey a wonderful meat and a great source of vital nutrients for healthy people, bodybuilders and athletes.
Both beef and turkey are complete proteins, meaning they contain all the essential amino acids your body needs according and that it cannot produce naturally, so they have to be sourced from external sources. The turkey breast steaks I’ve used are quite lean, they are boneless and skinless which means you get the best of the best, not only in terms of protein but also in taste.
Staying healthy means you have to find a balance and consume a wide variety of foods. This means that you should try switching up your meat consumption. If you had turkey today, have some beef or fish tomorrow and vice-verca.
It’s good to keep your body guessing as that’s what makes the growth eternal. If your body starts predicting what you’re going to feed it, it will eventually limit your progress because it will adapt to your routines and habits.Therefore, it’s vital to keep shocking your system if you want growth and development not only in your body but also in your mind.

Roasted Turkey Breast Steaks with Broccoli
- 6 turkey breast steaks
- 1 broccoli floret
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 500g cherry tomatoes
- 150g low-fat cheddar cheese - grated
- olive oil
- salt, pepper and turmeric
- Preheat oven to 180°C or 360°F
- Add olive oil to a roasting pan and rub turkey breast steaks in it
- Wash cherry tomatoes and broccoli, cut cherry tomatoes in halves
- Cut broccoli in smaller florets and add to roasting pan
- Add garlic to roasting pan
- Season and mix everything together, then put in the preheated oven for 10 minutes
- Grate low-fat cheddar cheese and sprinkle over roasting pan
- Roast for another 10 minutes
